SH Cleaning Guide

    Absoulte Basics/Required - will update later with more depth and optional steps

    0. ROTATE AND PROPERLY CROP
    - use the blue lines so help me god
    1. make copy of bg, label it text removal
    2. make three levels; name "main" "black" "white"
    - pull middle all the way to right on "white", left on "black" and proper levels on "main"
    3. do all redraws and text removal on text removal layer
    - if extra alyers are used for redraws and what not, merge them to text removal layer
    - remember to remove all numbers and punctuation such as exclamation marks
    4. make a copy of text removal and name it filters.
    - use if you use any filters
    - if no filters use, ignore step
    - make another copy for every filter
    5. resize in 3 steps - 2xxx to 2100, to 1700, to 1400
    6. change type from rgb to grayscale
    7. dust
    - can be done earlier, doesnt matter
    8. place all layers into a group - name "cleaned
    9. Save while "cleaned" is closed

    It's actually a good idea to change to grayscale first before you do your leveling because sometimes it can leave dust and stuff behind and your levels can also be inaccurate. :)

    How old is an old car to you, I might try this with my cars on Nos. The cars are aboy two years old and have never been lubed or cleaned before, will it make a difference on these?
